The Captain is the highest officer rank aboard a spaceship. Above him is the Commodore, and the Commander is subordinate to him.[1] Tofu is also a Captain.
Duties in Starfleet[edit | edit source]
All officer ranks are subordinate to him. He holds the highest command authority aboard a spaceship, but this is truly limited to his own ship. The Commodore can also command a ship not specifically assigned to him if its Captain is unavailable or deceased. In this case, he can bypass the rule that the Commander would step in.[2]
